Coreplus to bring School of Movement to Torquay
CorePlus’ School of Movement will be launching its first Pilates Teacher Training in Torquay this September.
The program will give more than 20 aspiring teachers the opportunity to build knowledge, confidence and presence before they launch into a career in wellness.
The training experience will blend strong technical foundations with practical teaching skills, giving students the chance to elevate what’s possible in the movement industry.

Torquay studio owners Emma Sharp and Niki Leana said they couldn’t wait to help the next generation of confident and class-ready instructors.
“It’s a real gamechanger to have this coming down from Melbourne, meaning people will no longer have to go to the city to do the training.
“Having something of this calibre in your own backyard will provide a really great opportunity for people to access world class teaching facilities right here at home,” Niki said.
“The School of Movement can really help to take it from more of a side hobby to a career if you want it to.”

Sessions will be run from September 5 to October 18 across alternating weekends, giving people who work during the week ample opportunity. Participants can opt into doing the mat or reformer component of training or can do both.
“They’ll be accessing all the facilities here and the reformer room upstairs, as well as the About Time Bathhouse who we have partnered with to do some of the more theoretical learning,” Niki said.
“It’s the perfect spot to host our first course and we are thrilled to have this all this available to access for those taking part in it.”
