Cotchin to headline function in Torquay

RICHMOND triple premiership captain Trent Cotchin will be the special guest speaker at Torquay Football Club tomorrow (Saturday, May 31) at the “Before The Game” function, presented by the club and the Surf Coast Times.

Cotchin, who retired in 2023, is also a Brownlow Medallist, a three-time best and fairest winner at the Tigers, and earned one All-Australian blazer.

It’s set to be a bumper day of football and netball action with reigning premier Torquay taking on BFL improvers Queenscliff in the seniors at 2.10pm.

South Coast Sharks will take on Melton Superules in AFL Masters Round 5 after the BFL action.

The over-45s start at 5pm and the over-35s start at 6.20pm.

Tickets, which are $70, are still available for the function, which will run from 11.30am to 2pm.

Tickets include gate entry, the guest speakers and finger food, with drinks at bar prices.
