Cricket blasts off at Spring Creek
THE Torquay Cricket Club is hosting their junior registration and information day at Spring Creek on September 2 from 9.30am until 12pm.
After a 25-year partnership with Milo, Cricket Australia has joined with Woolworths to support grassroots cricket launching Woolworth Cricket Blast.
The old Milo in2cricket program has become Woolworths Junior Blasters for kids aged 4-7 years and the Milo T20Blast is now the Woolworths Master Blasters for kids aged 7-10 years.
Buzzing with the energy of Big Bash Cricket, Woolworths Cricket Blast teaches kids how to bat, bowl, field and catch over a minimum of six weeks – all while making new friends.
Junior Blasters goes for 60 minutes where children learn new skills including catching, throwing and team work.
Children are able to organise a group to come together and wear the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes in their choice of coloured player cap.
All equipment is supplied and parents can join in the fun.
Sign up now to get your junior blasters pack which includes a t-shirt with your name on it, a bucket hat (in your choice of big bash team colours) a bat, ball, personalised bat sticker sheet and a progression tracker.
Master blasters runs for 90 minutes for kids with basic cricket skills, every child gets chance to bat, bowl and field whilst wearing the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes.
Kids can come along to make new friends or bring a group and learn together, equipment is supplied and parents can also join in; sign up now to get your masters blasters pack which includes a player cap in your choice of Big Bash team colour and a progression tracker.
