TWO of the dates for next year’s Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (CEGORR) are locked in.

The Elite Men’s Race will take place on Sunday February 2 with the annual People’s Ride to be held the day before – Saturday February 1.

CEGORR race director Scott Sunderland welcomed the date.

“We can’t wait to return to Geelong in February for what’s sure to be the biggest Cadel Road Race in history,” he said.

“Geelong and Surf Coast residents, cycling fans and spectators from around the globe will enjoy a first-class event on Australia’s sporting calendar.

“We look forward to seeing you all participating, cheering and enjoying your time in some of Victoria’s most iconic locations.”

Registrations for the 2020 People’s Ride are now open.

The Elite Women’s Race has been tentatively scheduled for February 1 but is subject to UCI endorsement.

The full UCI WorldTour and Women’s WorldTour calendar dates will be released in the coming months.
