Davidsons to help shire find its new CEO
THE Surf Coast Shire council has appointed Geelong and Surf Coast-based business consultants Davidsons to help it find the shire’s new chief executive officer.
In the recommendation, approved by councillors at their meeting last week, Davidsons will work on the recruitment and selection of the CEO with the shire’s CEO Employment Matters Committee, which will “shortly commence recruitment activities to identify prospective candidates” for the role in accordance with the Local Government Act 2020.
According to the officers’ report presented to councillors, Davidsons has a broad range of experience with executive appointments in the public sector including a number of CEO placements in local government.
Davidson’s recent senior appointments within the region include new G21 chief executive officer Giulia Baggio.
At last week’s meeting, the council also reappointed Anne-Marie Leslie as chair of the CEO Employment Matters Committee for a two-year term.
