THERE is just one week left to submit your entry to this year’s Geelong Business Excellence Awards, with the deadline set for Friday, July 11.
Managed by the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, the awards are the oldest continuously running business awards program in Australia, and recognise business leaders, young entrepreneurs and organisations from all industries, across 20 award categories.
Chamber chief executive Jeremy Crawford said the long-running awards program is a transformative experience, offering businesses a chance to sharpen their strategy, celebrate their success and benchmark their performance.
“These awards aren’t just about winning a trophy – they’re a game-changing opportunity for businesses of all sizes to step into the spotlight, share their journey, and earn the recognition they’ve worked so hard for,” he said.

“But more than that, the entry process itself is a powerful tool for growth. It challenges you to reflect, refine your strategy, celebrate your achievements, and measure your success against the best in the region.
“Don’t let this chance slip by. The clock is ticking – enter now and show what your business is truly made of.”
The Geelong Business Excellence Awards are open to businesses operating across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast, Golden Plains and those within 40km of the Geelong city centre.
This year’s accolades will be accompanied by prizes valued at more than $100,00, donated by several of the awards’ partners, including the publishers of this masthead.
