LAST week saw thousands of Deakin students enjoy their graduation ceremonies at the university’s Waterfront Campus in Geelong.

Presiding over the graduations was vice-chancellor professor Iain Martin, who said he was enthusiastic about the students’ futures.

“I am thrilled to be part of this important milestone in our students’ lives and excited to see what our graduates achieve, now they are equipped with a Deakin education.

“Our graduates will go on to do great things here at home and across the globe, and I’m sure many will tackle some of the biggest problems facing humanity.”

The various graduation ceremonies were held over three days inside Costa Hall. Across these ceremonies, 29 doctorates were awarded.

Deakin is Australia’s fifth largest university, with more than 61,000 students. They also have more than 240,000 alumni throughout 110 countries.
