Mr Woolard says his company pursues a contemporary and refined form of sustainable architecture in a range of residential, commercial, and interior projects reflected in his exhibition.

During Friday’s opening night up to eighty people gathered for the sold out event, followed by steady numbers over the weekend and another sold out event on Wednesday’s meet the Architect night.

“We were blown away by the response and thankful after all this time we were able to generate this much interest,” he said.

My Woolard says the exhibition allowed his business to reflect on their past while giving back to the community.

“I just wanted to put my hand up to say it is a great initiative and to spread the word about design in our city,” he said.

“It has been a really positive thing to be involved as a host the City has set out parameters, deadlines and criteria’s as well as provided support that allowed us to start planning four months ago.

The behind-the-scenes look into Mr Woolard’s work comes as Geelong’s Design Week aims to takes visitors on a journey through sixty exhibitions, workshops, tours and open studios.

“Any creative field whether it be Arts, Architecture or whatever the creative profession sometimes can take second place to sports and other very worthwhile initiatives but to have this week that purely focuses on design is wonderful and I hope it continues for a long time.”
