Development reaches sales breakthrough
STOCKLAND Banksia has reached a major milestone as it welcomed its 100th purchaser earlier this month.
The under-construction Armstrong Creek development is also ticking off building requirements as it nears the end of utility installations.
Geelong couple Callen Lowther and Casie Mendoza said the site’s proximity to key amenities were among the main attractions as they joined 99 other buyers in buying land at Stockland Banksia.
“We love the Armstrong Creek location. We didn’t want to be living far from Geelong, and we love that we are so close to the beach and Melbourne,” Mr Lowther said.
“Casie’s work is only 15 minutes away, and we’re close to Barwon Heads Road leading into the Bellarine Peninsula. We’re also near the Surf Coast Highway which leads to Torquay and Great Ocean Road. The community is central to so many locations that are important to us.
“We heard from a lot of people about Stockland. We know that we can trust that our vision is going to be delivered in the way that we want. It is important for us to know and have certainty as to when our dream home would be complete, and Stockland has provided us with that.”
Homes such as Callen and Casie’s are coming closer to reality as Stockland’s build continues.
The developer says its drainage, water and gas reticulation works are nearing completion, and in April an upgrade began to its access road, Boundary Road.
Waterway delivery, electrical and NBN works are due to start soon.
Stockland Banksia’s masterplan includes tree-lined streets and a revegetated waterway, plus a proposed childcare centre in the growth area south of Boundary Road.
Stockland senior development manager Anthony Scafidi said he looked forward to welcoming more buyers as the development progresses.
“We congratulate Callen and Casie on choosing Stockland Banksia to build their dream home. We’re looking forward to welcoming future residents and prospective purchasers to our Armstrong Creek community.
“Stockland Banksia is situated in a thriving suburb surrounded by beautiful beaches, hiking tracks and cafes. In close proximity to the coast and the city, future residents have the opportunity for an active, outdoor lifestyle, with the benefits of Geelong’s bustling town centre.
“Armstrong Creek is a community for people who enjoy the simple things in life. Like sharing quality time with loved ones, enjoying delicious local produce, staying active in nature and relaxing in between.”
