1. Bells Beach to Point Addis

The walk will take you through the beautiful inland sheltered forest of the Ironbark Basin. Look out for echidnas and native birds and enjoy stunning ocean views.

2. Cora Lynn Cascades Waterfall Walk, Great Ocean Road

These underrated falls are not a major tourist attraction making this walking track through the Otway National Park a great way to avoid the summer crowds. There are three cascades framed by lush ferns and mosses to see.

3. Aireys Inlet Cliff-top Walk

This walk begins near the township’s famous Split Point Lighthouse and follows the limestone cliff tops to Sunnymead Beach. For the best views, set out early in the morning to catch the sunrise.

4. Great Ocean Walk

This long-distance trail spans more than 100km along the coast, starting in Apollo Bay and ending at the Twelve Apostles. It offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline, cliffs and rock formations. Walk the entire trial or select shorter tracks.

4. Totti’s, Lorne

Totti’s is a vibrant Italian restaurant located in the heart of Lorne. Known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, Totti’s offers a delicious menu of classic Italian dishes with a modern twist.

For experienced surfers

Home to the Rip Curl Pro, the world’s longest continuously running pro surfing competition, Bells Beach is a haven for experienced surfers with its powerful, hollow barrels. Meanwhile, Jan Juc offers consistent waves and Winkipop offers long, powerful rides.

For intermediate surfers

Torquay Back Beach is a versatile spot that caters to surfers of different skill levels. While it can offer gentle waves for beginners, it also provides more challenging conditions when the swell picks up.

For beginners

Torquay’s Front Beach and Fishermans Beach are the ideal spots for those learning to surf. Their gentle, rolling waves and sandy bottom make for a safe and forgiving environment.

1. Split Point Lighthouse

The historic lighthouse gained popularity due to its appearance in beloved Australian children’s television series Round the Twist. Today, visitors can climb to the top for breathtaking 360-degree views of the coastline.

2. Memorial Arch

Located at the start of the Great Ocean Road, the sign serves as a symbolic marker, welcoming travellers to one of the world’s most famous coastal drives.
