Eggs galore at Queenscliff this Good Friday

March 17, 2016 BY

THE Queenscliff Bowling Tennis and Croquet Club is gearing up for its third annual Good Friday Appeal fundraiser, the “Easter Eggstravaganaza”.
So far this event has raised a grand total of $51,310.60 and would not be possible to run without support from the community and local businesses.
On the day there will be lots of activities for the kids, including a Huge Easter Egg Hunt, craft tent, face painting, jumping castle, balloon twisting, bowl-a-bunny, egg-and-spoon race and local pre-school entertainment group Hey Dee Ho Music.
Not only will there be an egg hunt for the kids, but there will be one for the big kids too with an Easter Egg Hunt for over-18s.
There will also be loads of great items up for grabs in silent and live auctions, and there will be more than 20 market stalls offering beautiful handmade goodies and yummy treats, and local bands playing throughout the day.
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 12.30pm and costs a gold coin donation to enter.
It is done in age groups to prevent the little one from getting hurt – the first age group is 1-2 year olds, then 3-4 and so on up to 12 years plus.
The egg hunt for adults is done in teams of two and entry is $50 per team, but there is a twist to this as one member must be blindfolded throughout the hunt.
With the Easter Eggstravaganza being held on Good Friday, the event is meat free so there will be a delicious seafood feast cooked by the Ripview Bistro – all of the seafood is donated by local fishermen.
To take part in the event by volunteering or donating money or an item to be raffled or auctioned off, email Charlene Bondin at [email protected] or phone 5258 1773.
