AN INSPIRATIONAL Torquay resident hopes to raise $300 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal through her Alice in Wonderland themed morning tea and market stall event later this month.

Set to be held on Thursday, March 30 at the Salvation Army Centre in Torquay, All Aboard disability Support Services participant Emerald Tysoe will help support children seeking treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, providing them with hope in what is a difficult situation.

For many years, Emerald has taken a keen interest in the Royal Children’s Hospital and in the process has amassed a scrap book full of newspaper articles that she has cut out since she was a child.

When asked what she would do if she’d won the lottery, Emerald said she would donate a large portion to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The 26-year-old has kept a scrap book of news articles of the Royal Children’s Hospital since she was a child.

“The Good Friday Appeal does so much good for so many people,” she said.

While her All Aboard team can’t help her with the millions of dollars, they are thrilled to be partnering with her to make handmade gifts and Alice in Wonderland themed treats to help with the fundraising.

“We were very impressed by Emerald’s selfless goal,” Kate Marshall, Director of All Aboard said.

“Emerald’s aim is to raise $300, but we are really trying hard to raise more money than Emerald expects.

“Her passion for the Royal Children’s Hospital is inspirational and she’s very selfless to say she’d donate some of her hypothetical millions to charity if she won the lottery.”

Tickets for the event are $20 and include morning tea and access to the market stalls.
