Netball star Mannix hosting holiday clinics

YOUNG netballers have the chance to learn from Australian Diamonds player and Geelong product Emily Mannix these school holidays.

A Vixens premiership player and Sharelle McMahon Medallist as the team’s MVP in 2019, Mannix has played at the elite level for more than 10 years.

The 31-year-old, whose junior club was Drysdale, plays goal keeper and goal defence.

The Melbourne Vixens star, who will be joined by expert coaches, has four clinics in Belmont and Ocean Grove.

It shapes as an opportunity for players sharpen their skills and make new friends.

There is a clinic for those aged 15 to 17 at Geelong United in Belmont tomorrow (Friday, July 11), from 9.30am to 11am

This will be followed by three clinics, all to take place between 9am and 12 noon the following week.

They will feature Mannix along with former Diamonds Tegan Philip, Madi Browne and Caitlin Thwaites and local Geelong stars.

The sessions for 9-11 year olds is on Monday, July 14, at Geelong United.

The 12 to 14 year olds get their chance on Tuesday, July 15, at Bellarine Aquatic & Sports Centre in Ocean Grove.

The clinic for those aged 6 to 8 is on Wednesday, July 16, also in Ocean Grove.
