Exciting times ahead as Royal Geelong Show nears
THE excitement is building in the lead up to the 2018 Royal Geelong Show to be held October 18-21.
Royal Geelong maintains the country show atmosphere allowing visitors to see all the livestock competitions, including cattle, horses, show-jumping, sheep, goats, alpacas, poultry, dogs and many more.
Thrilling entertainment at this year’s show includes Monster Trucks Australia who will be performing each day with their big and loud boys’ toys including their truck and monster ball.
Drivers Sam and Michael Xuereb have a multitude of tricks that they are excited to be performing at the Royal Geelong Show. Between them, the father-son combination has four world records including the longest wheelie in a monster truck and furthest wheelie on a quad bike in reverse.
Around the grounds there are plenty of free activities, including Circus Challenge, where children can create circus props in the upcycle zone and then learn how to perform tricks.
Other entertainment around the ground will including whip cracking, super heroes, the Unicycling Unicorn and fireworks.
Over the four days the grounds come alive with trade displays, cooking demonstrations, woodchop, vintage machinery display and much more. All the traditional show entertainment including showbags and rides are always popular.
Royal Geelong Agricultural and Pastoral Society volunteers pride themselves on providing a value-packed family day and have increased the free entertainment around the grounds to add to the value to those attending the 2018 Royal Geelong Show.
A day out at the show is fun for all ages with the opportunity to soak up the country charm, enjoy the entertainment and join in the excitement of the Royal Geelong Show.
