Fair produces delicious fundraising results
WALLINGTON Primary School exceeded its fundraising target of $20,000 at its annual Strawberry Fair at the weekend.
Organisers said they were happy with the perfect weather and good crowds, which included locals and visitors from far and wide.
Pupils made an amazing effort, with 154 helping out on the day – a testament to the community spirit at the school.
Talented local musicians showed off their skills, while there was a magic performance and demonstrations from local clubs, including karate, calisthenics, dog obedience, drumming, baseball and juggling The fair’s new mascot “Berry Bliss” entertained the crowds and delighted the littlies.
All money raised will go to Wallington Primary Schools artist-in-residence program, equipment, and a mobile stage.
