Family fun kicks goals

January 31, 2018 BY

THE Surf Coast Football Club (FC) is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday February 10 at their home ground on Banyul-Warri Fields.

Surf Coast FC president Steve Christou is looking forward to welcoming families to the field for a day of soccer, activities, information, food and fun.

“This is the first time we’ve run a family fun day like this,” Steve said.

“We’re looking forward to introducing the club and what it has to offer to new and existing members.

“It’s a great way for players and families to get to know each other before the season ahead too.”

The day will also coincide with a friendly match between the Surf Coast Football Club seniors and State League 2 opposition Westvale Soccer Club.

Families will be able to participate in smaller-side games, penalty shootouts, inflatable soccer bounce and inflatable soccer shootouts.

Samples of merchandise will be available with information on how to purchase online too.

Guardians and seniors can gather information on the registration process as well as the schedule of the upcoming season.

The club coaches and president will be available throughout the day for a chat to answer any questions from current and new members.

The bar will also be open, along with food options too.

The Surf Coast FC Family Fun Day will run from 1.30pm to 5pm at the Banyul-Warri Fields located on Kuwarrk Lane, Torquay.
