Farris resigns as CEO of Rip Curl
RIP CURL chief executive officer Brooke Farris has given notice of her resignation after three years in the role.
Farris has spent 14 years in total at Rip Curl’s Torquay headquarters in a variety of positions
across events, marketing strategy in retail, wholesale, social media, and as the general manger of digital.
She became the first female CEO of Rip Curl in its 55-year history in 2021.
“The time feels right for a break and new opportunities. It has been an honour to lead this iconic brand, and I’m confident Rip Curl will continue to be the ultimate surfing company,” she said.
KMD Brands Group CEO Michael Daly thanked Brooke for her service.
“Brooke has been dedicated to the success of Rip Curl for 14 years,” he said.
“As CEO, she has achieved record sales and grown the women’s business significantly. Brooke leaves Rip Curl well positioned for its next phase. We wish her all the very best.”
An external global search has started for a replacement.
KMD Brands Group CEO Michael Daly will act as interim Rip Curl CEO during the transition.
