Finalists named for anticipated awards night

DOZENS of Geelong’s top-performing businesses and business people have their names up in lights as finalists for the 2023 Geelong Business Excellence Awards.

The Geelong Chamber of Commerce yesterday (Thursday, August 3) announced the 59 organisations and six individuals in the running for this year’s prestigious prizes, presented by LBW Business + Wealth Advisors.

The 20 award category winners and annual business leader and young entrepreneur of the year will all be revealed at the GBEA’s yearly awards ceremony in October.

Chamber chief executive officer Jeremy Crawford said the shortlisted entries were the pick of a massive volume of entries received in recent weeks.

“This year we received a record number of 519 nominations.

“Thank you to the Geelong Business community for supporting and nominating deserving business and business leaders.

“I warmly congratulate this year’s businesses and extend our well-deserved recognition to them as Geelong Business Excellence Awards finalists.

“Whilst not all entrants can become finalists of the program, we sincerely hope all the participants gained value in answering the key entry criteria and utilise this years’ experience to re-enter next year.”

The chamber has now opened ticket sales for its 2023 Geelong Business Awards Presentation.

The annual celebration will be at GMHBA Stadium on October 19.

Guests on the night will enjoy a night of food, drinks, entertainment to celebrate achievements of the whole
