FOOTY TIP TO WIN BIG AT BEACH HOTEL

Entries are now open for the biggest footy tipping competition in Torquay and Jan Juc at The Beach Hotel.
The contest has more than 100 tippers competing each year, a $5,000 winner’s prize and each tipper goes into the draw to win a national competition prize of $20,000.
Tippers can also enjoy the added competition of “Beat the Boss”. If tippers can beat Rohan “Pugsy” Pertzel’s tips weekly, they win a free beer.
“The locals really enjoy beating the boss!” owner and operator Kirsty Pertzel said.
“There is a lot of sledging around the hotel – might have something to do with the fact that Rohan often picks his own team – Carlton.”
All tippers are also entered into the weekly cash draw for $50, which is drawn out to one lucky tipper.
If they aren’t there when the prize is drawn, the amount jackpots each week until someone is present to claim the prize.
“Footy tipping is our favourite time of the year,” Kirsty said.
“Jan Juc’s John McCoy won our comp last year, taking the $5,000 but it came down to the wire with locals Leanne O’Brian and Shane Gould on his tail to take home the prize.
“We show each and every AFL game live on the big screens and everyone gets into the spirit so we all have a great time.”
Tips must be in by first bounce of every round.

Enjoy $3 pots of Carlton Draught, $4.50 house wine, $2.50 pots of Cascade Light and bar nibbles are provided.
