Fresh breakfast for K rock for 2018

K ROCK Geelong is thrilled to announce its new look breakfast team for 2018.

Joining longtime show host Tom Lewis will be the charismatic and full of energy Sarah Maree Cameron.

Sarah joins the K rock team with extensive on-air experience, most recently working on Melbourne radio for the last five years.

“Fresh Daily with Tom and Sarah Maree” will be making its debut on Geelong airwaves from 6am-9am Monday, January 8.

K rock content director James Speed is pleased with the appointment.

“I am super excited to see what this team can do in 2018,” he said. “It’s a great pairing and I think we’re going to have funny, real, creative and exciting things happening on air every single day. Bring it on!”

K rock general manager Andy Mathers said the show would be great.

“The show promises to be a fun, laugh-out-loud experience for listeners every single day.”

The new-look breakfast team follows last month’s announcement that popular breaky co-host Josh “Buckle” would be leaving the station.

K rock said at the time that after Tom’s wedding it was clear that there was only room for one red head in Tom’s life, and Buckle obviously took it personally.

The boys agreed to a conscious uncoupling and held their last show together on December 8.

Mr Mathers said the team had known that Buckle was keen for a break from radio, a break from 4am starts and a taste of “normality” for a while.
