THE Geelong Region Alliance (G21) is seeking a chief executive officer to take over from incumbent Elaine Carbines at the end of the year.

G21 is a not-for-profit alliance that looks to unite councils, businesses, and community organisations to increase the region’s prosperity.

Ms Carbines has been chief executive officer of the alliance for more than a decade.

She announced in February she would be standing down from the role in August. However, in April Ms Carbines stated she would delay her departure until the end of the year to ensure stability during the pandemic.

The chief executive officer is required to work closely with the G21 Board of Directors, which includes the mayors and chief executive officers of the City of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast Shire, Borough of Queenscliffe, Golden Plains Shire, and Colac Otway Shire.

They must also develop strong relationships with stakeholders across all tiers of government as well as peak and industry bodies.

People looking to apply or find more information on the position can head to davidsonexecutive.com.au.
