GARY ABLETT TRAINS WITH TIGERS JUNIORS

Geelong Cats star Gary Ablett Jr was the star attraction at a special training night for the under-9s at the Torquay Tigers on Monday night. AFL Barwon and the Cats organised a series of sessions for clubs across the region, and Torquay had the dual Brownlow medallist and two-time premiership player turn up to run training with each of the under-9 teams, as well as conduct a Q&A and sign autographs. Torquay Tigers junior coach Vicki Penrice said Ablett was mobbed as soon as he got out of his car. “He was very generous with his time. Despite the very bad weather, he was a champion.”
