GEELONG golfers will be swinging for a cause this month as part of X-Golf’s nationwide charity fundraiser for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Local players will tee off virtually throughout November on the newly redesigned Starlight themed course to raise vital funds to support seriously ill children.

The nine-hole course will offer an immersive experience with animated visuals that make every swing feel extra special.

X-Golf pro Peter Nolan knows firsthand the difference support can make.

Having undergone chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2014, Peter witnessed the light and positivity the Starlight Children’s Foundation brings to children during challenging times.

“It’s not just about fighting illness – it’s about giving kids moments of joy, hope and normalcy when they really need it,” he said.

“Every small act of care counts and we’re proud to see our venues and communities come together for such an important cause.”

X-Golf has set a national fundraising goal of $33,500, which will aim to grant five Starlight wishes to bring joy, laughter and play to families who need it.

For a $10 donation, players can join the fun at X-Golf, Geelong taking on the 9-hole Starlight Swing course solo or in a two- to four-player scramble.
