Geelong’s not-for-profits to receive free marketing
NOT-for-profits will now have the chance to access state of the art digital marketing for free.
A new initiative in collaboration with Arthur St Digital and Deakin University is aiming to give a year’s worth of marketing assistance to Geelong’s emerging not-for-profits.
Arthur St Digital Managing Director, Matt Cowdell says while the program is just in the beginning stages, he is excited to give back to the community.
“If you can give back in some way, you should that is our philosophy,” he said.
The free program will be offered to around 5-10 organisations who will have access to all of Arthur St Digital’s services including website design, social media strategy, advertising and PR.
“We wanted to do more, so we developed a concept that is a win for not-for-profits as well as giving an opportunity to help a Deakin graduate get into the workforce,” Mr Cowdell said.
The funded role recognises the struggles facing future graduates as they look to join the workforce and provides a year of intensive training.
“People are wanting to work with a greater purpose now, a lot of students are graduating saying do I really want to enter a cooperate role,” he said.
“We are hoping this will have a rolling legacy and once the graduate has fulfilled their first year, they will train the next student.”
The initiative is now coming to life after two-months but has already received large interest from not-for-profit organisations across the region.
“We are really focused on those who need it the most, those who are just starting out and might not be able to afford the service or know where to start.”
“They might have the best idea that will help so many people in the world, but they do not know the best way to communicate it,” he said.
Organisations have until December 11 to submit their interest to [email protected].
