ONE of Geelong’s most fashionable fundraisers has again delivered a huge boost to cancer services within the region.

Barwon Health Foundation’s Catwalk4Cancer event was attended by more than 250 people, bringing style, strength and heart to the runway.

The unforgettable night of fashion and fundraising showed just how powerful community can be when they unite for a common cause.

Among the standout moments of the night was a moving personal story shared by passionate cancer awareness advocate Joanna McRae.

The Geelong local is familiar face to many, having thrown her support behind multiple Barwon Health Foundation initiatives including Dry July, Ceres Life Love Tees and past Catwalk4Cancer events.

Her advocacy is driven by love and support for her sister Bek Bainbridge who is living with an incurable brain cancer diagnosis.

“Catwalk4Cancer is all about community and giving back to the services that make such a difference in the lives of so many,” she said.

The catwalk featured a fabulous showcase from some of Geelong’s most loved local and national fashion brands including HUSK Geelong West, Pearls and Roses, Westfield Geelong, Cercle Lifestyle, Lord’s Design Menswear and Birdskin.

The unique and beautiful collections were brought to life by a talented line-up of models from Fundamental Model who all generously donated their time.

Guests were also treated to stunning performances from event MC Gorgi Coghlan and her performing partner Anna-Lee Robertson – the Songbirds.

Ms Coghlan brought a deeply personal connection to the cause, with her brother Nigel receiving cancer care at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre.

Barwon Health Foundation executive director Zoe Waters thanked all attendees for their generosity.

“With all funds raised going directly to Barwon Health’s cancer services, Catwalk4Cancer 2025 attendees can be proud that they have helped to contribute to cancer care and support right here in our region,” she said.
