May 1, 2019 BY

The Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal celebrates another record-breaking result.

COMMUNITIES from Victoria and beyond have dug deep, producing another recordbreaking total for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal with a total of $18,175,467 raised, including $74,726 from Geelong.

From tin shaking and door knocking, to raffles, fundraisers and auctions all across Victoria, rural and regional appeal collectors collectively raised $3,482,573.

CFA collectors around the state fundraised a further $1,612,671.

“The final tally could not have been reached without the dedicated communities across the state who have come together for the kids,” Good Friday Appeal director Anne Randall said.

“We are so thankful to each and every person for their support.”

“We would like to take this time to acknowledge Area Managers in regional areas as well as the people in those communities for their donation; from tin rattlers, to dedicated fundraisers and of course to those organising events all across the state.

“All the generous donations and funds raised go towards state-of-the-art equipment and technology, patient and family centred care, research, education and training at the wonderful Royal Children’s Hospital.”

Since 1931, the Good Friday Appeal has contributed more than $363 million to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
