Group calls for help to keep Armstrong Creek beautiful

October 18, 2018 BY

RESIDENTS in Armstrong Creek have invited the community to pitch in and help the environment to keep Armstrong Creek beautiful this Sunday.

The Armstrong Creek wetland is a waterway that runs right through the heart of the Warralily estate on the eastern side of the growth area.

To maintain the parklands, the Armstrong Creek Community Group have committed to two cleanup days a year.

In March, adults and children came together to clean up Charlemont Conservation reserve, and the group is holding its next Clean Up Armstrong Creek Day on Sunday, October 21 from 10am-noon.

Participants are asked to meet in the parkland on the corner of Ambrosia Drive and Warralily Boulevard to pick up their bags. Bring a hat, drink bottle, sunscreen and gloves.

Mount Duneed Regional Primary School is also hosting a fundraising sausage sizzle afterwards.
