In recent weeks, a number of car thefts linked to gyms have been reported, with keys stolen and then used to steal cars parked within the area.

People should avoid leaving their car keys in the open and can instead keep them in a zipped pocket, locked locker or with them at all times.

Other personal items can also be targeted by thieves including phones, wallets and bags, with gym-goers also reminded to only carry the essentials when heading into the workout space, use available lockers and disguise their valuables.
If you are a victim to theft, ensure any cards stolen are cancelled, contact your service provider if a mobile phone is stolen and make a police report. If you car is stolen, call your insurance company.
People are asked to call Triple Zero (000) if they notice somebody who looks out of place or loitering in the vicinity.
