HENDERSON AGAINST QUAY TOWER LOCATION

Corangamite federal member Sarah Henderson last week met with local residents from the Facebook group “Save the Quay” to discuss the proposed Telstra phone tower at the Quay Oval. Ms Henderson, pictured here holding a baby and with some members of the group, said Telstra’s proposal to construct a mobile base station tower at The Quay in Torquay should be overturned. “I am strongly backing the community. This tower would be an absolute eyesore. In such an important recreation precinct, Telstra must listen to local residents and move the base station to another more appropriate location.”
