CORANGAMITE federal member Sarah Henderson took to the coast at the weekend to make two significant funding announcements for Lorne, including a major grant in excess of $3 million for Stribling Reserve under round three of the federal Liberal government’s
“Building Better Regions Fund” (BBRF). Stribling Reserve received a grant of $3,274,500 for the $6.45 million Stribling Reserve Pavilions Redevelopment Project.

Ms Henderson said she has “advocated hard” for the project and that it is an “incredible win” for the Lorne community.
“This project will deliver a state-of-the-art sports and community facility which will provide enormous benefits for the entire Lorne community, including the Lorne Football and Netball Club, the cricket club, the many community groups which use this facility and the school which uses Stribling Reserve on a daily basis,” she said.
As part of the program, Ms Henderson also announced $85,363 for the Lorne Bowls Club to fund a new synthetic green and shade cloths.
