Henderson, Walmsley top GFL stats leaderboard

LARA’S Darby Henderson and North Shore’s Connor Walmsley have dominated the final statistics leaderboards for the GFL home and away season.

While their sides trailed the ladder, the midfielders were shining lights in otherwise disappointing seasons for the Cats and the Seagulls.

In his first season for Lara, Henderson averaged 45.3 disposals, 16.6 contested possessions and 175.7 ranking points per game.

Henderson recently re-committed to the Cats for 2026 as they look to improve on their one-win season.

Walmsley moved to North Shore from Anakie in 2019 and averaged 33.3 touches, 20 contested possessions and 136.2 ranking points a game.

Leopold skipper Marcus Thompson, who recently re-signed for next season, and Newtown & Chilwell bull Ned Harris also featured heavily in the key statistic averages.

Meanwhile, Lions forward Connor Giddings claimed the leading goal kicker award with 68.
