HERMIT CRAB HOMEWARES HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
It has been nearly six months since Hermit Crab Homewares opened its doors in the Point Lonsdale Village and it has been a great start for the team.
“Hermit Crab has come through Christmas and the summer school holidays supported well by locals and holidaymakers,” Hermit Crab owner-manager Alison Cornish said.
Hermit Crab fills a gap for the Bellarine providing a comprehensive range of popular and quality tableware, cookware, and drinkware, and could provide a nice alternative gift for Valentine’s Day.
The range of brands is extensive; Le Creuset, Cuisinart electrical appliances, Tala bakeware, Stanley Rogers, Luigi Bormioli and Robert Gordon Australia.
Hermit Crab is one of the largest stockists of Robert Gordon in Victoria.
“We will be expanding the range in February and introducing new lines, which is very exciting,” she said.
“We have also collaborated with Robert Gordon and launched a limited edition range called The Blue Wren.
“Handmade in Victoria, the range includes a kitchen jug and a mug which is handpainted in earthy tones and features a blue wren as a more traditional piece for a gift.
“New brands in store in 2016 include Bonnie and Neil Melbourne and Ecology homewares.”
Alison said one of the objectives of Hermit Crab was to be representative of Victorian and Australian-made homeware.
“Bonnie and Neil is new to Hermit Crab and is a lovely Melbourne-based homewares company that creates beautiful screenprinted linen and tableware pieces featuring Australian birds and flora,” she said.
“Each piece is produced by hand in their Melbourne studio.”
Pricing is competitive and with free delivery and gift wrapping, the needs of residents and visitors will be met.
Hermit Crab is at Shop 2, 67-69 Point Lonsdale Road, Point Lonsdale, and is open seven days from 8am – 6pm and you can contact the team on 5258 4888.
