Hinterland Greenway a win for the community
HINTERLAND Moriac has reached an exciting milestone after successfully negotiating a win for the local community, ensuring access to a Barwon Water easement that will ensure a connected community through the delivery of a Greenway linear park and pathway.
After several months of negotiations between the Moriac Community Network, Surf Coast Shire, Barwon Water and the estate developer Ample, the delivery of a 20,000sqm Greenway connecting Moriac’s newest community to Newling Reserve has been agreed.
Ample said the company was extremely delighted to have resolved the delivery of the Hinterland Estate Greenway on behalf of the Moriac community.
“The 850-metre long Greenway will provide a beautifully landscaped, vehicle-free, pedestrian and bike-friendly connection to Moriac’s existing township and community services.
“This is a great win for the Moriac community and we sincerely thank Cr Heather Wellington, the Moriac Community Network, along with Barwon Water for their assistance in achieving this incredible outcome.”
Ample will be responsible for funding the delivery of the Greenway connection at and will continue to maintain it for a further two years after handing it over for community use.
Hinterland is the first acreage lifestyle estate to come to market in Moriac in the last 15 years, and been extremely well received by both the local community and families from near and far who will soon call this boutique residential estate home.
Sales remain very strong with stage two nearly sold out and only three acreage allotments remaining.
Due to unprecedented sales and interest in the estate, civil works have been brought forward with local contractor Civilworks to start work on site early this month.
The developer anticipates that the acreage allotments will title around the middle of 2018.
