INDIGENOUS SURFERS GATHER AT BELLS
BELLS Beach holds a special place in the hearts of many of the region’s Indigenous People, and the Traditional Owners of the land gathered there over the weekend for a national surfing contest. A Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony was held on the beach just before the first heats of the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles, which featured surfers from as far away as Darwin and Broome.
