Jan Juc local Lyndelle Zuccolin announced as Skate Australia Director

JAN JUC business mogul Lyndelle Zuccolin has been named as one of three new directors for the board of Skate Australia, bringing 20 years of sports and consumer business experience to her new position.

Zuccolin will take up a three-year term as a director on the board and brings an accumulation of strategic skills that are said to transcend traditional management portfolios.

The Jan Juc local is a former marketing, brand and consumer business executive, former CFO, and former IT, systems development and people and culture executive.

 

Mrs Zuccolin has a passion for strategy and creative thinking which has led her to establish Just Add Colour Management Consulting, which specialises in corporate strategy and advisory, while also helping organisations navigate the complexities of a changing business environment.

Lyndelle is also a director of the Barwon Sports Academy and brings an array of sporting experience to the table, having been involved with the skate and surfing industry through her work with Quiksilver and DC.

The Surf Coast local said she was thrilled to secure the new director role and looks forward to working hard towards Skate Australia’s future goals as it moves towards it’s second appearance as an Olympic sport.

 

“In terms of a national sports organisation, skate is something that I’ve always had a connection to and somewhere that I felt I could really sink my teeth into from a business perspective,” Zuccolin said.

“Being a part of a national board gives me the opportunity to try and take the sport to the next step and with my unique blend of skills.

“I feel I can be a valuable asset and helpful in developing the professionalism of the sport.

“We want to form a strong governance for the sport so that it can provide more opportunities for participants at grassroots while also helping people move from doing the sport recreationally, to the honour and privilege of representing their country in the Olympic Games.”

The new appointments made by the Skate Australia Board were with the support of its nominations committee and followed a robust and competitive process focused on establishing diverse skills and experience within the seven-person board, in line with contemporary governance practices.

Filling the two other roles on the board of directors are highly experienced sports and government executive Phil Hamdorf and senior communications professional Jo Banning.

“It’s an exciting time in the sport and our Skate Australia team can’t wait to get to work across all skating domains,” Zuccolin said.
