EMERGING Victorian craft beer brewers Jetty Road has established a beach themed pop up bar in Lorne this summer.

The 70s themed venue seats 150 people, features an outdoor beer garden, Jetty Road beers on tap and a locally inspired menu.

The boys behind the brewery, Grant Rogers and Blake Bowden, are excited to be on the Surf Coast and in the heart of Lorne.

“Since we were teenagers we have visited Lorne and are so stoked that we will be setting up camp there for our pop up bar this Summer,” Mr Bowden said.

For Mr Rogers, the location has been on his radar for many years.

“I have always loved heading to Lorne and this venue always stood out to me as an incredible space,” he said. “To imagine 15 years later we would be opening to the doors to expand our own brewery in this exact spot is a dream come true.”

A range of Jetty Road Brewery beers will be on tap at the new Lorne venue, including their popular pale ale, xpa and blueberry sour brews.

According to Mr Rogers and Mr Bowden their menu will celebrate local seafood of the area and other beach-style snacks.

Fans of the Dromana establishment will be relieved to hear their mouthwatering Jetty Road Fried Chicken with coriander and red onion glaze will be included on the menu.

“We can’t wait to be pouring out fresh, ice cold JR froths and cooking up a storm for Lorne locals and holiday makers all summer long,” Mr Rogers said.

Jetty Road Brewey Summer Tap Room is located at 82 Mountjoy Parade and will be open from
December 21.
