Kite fest soars to new heights

ORGANISERS of the Surf Coast Kite Festival held another successful festival on December 15, with hundreds of people turning out to the event.

Not only was there kite flying and kite making, but a range of activities including face painting, drumming and animal displays kept everyone entertained.

The Surf Coast Kite Festival is an annual community event that raises funds for the Jan Juc Pre School.

This year, it was held alongside the Kite Surfing World Championships, which were being held in Torquay for the first time.
