MILLIONS of Christmas lights will light up Wallington’s skyline for Adventure Park Christmas Festival of Lights extravaganza.

Adventure Park Geelong’s second lightshow features three million lights and more than a thousand light installations to wow visitors and residents in the lead up to the festive holiday.

The theme park will be transformed until New Year’s Day 2023 into a festive, sparkling wonderland, across a walking trail stretching over two kilometres.

This year’s spectacle will feature more immersive installations to experience, including a new Air Balloon ride which sees festivalgoers float 20 metres into the sky for an epic view of the park.

There will also be a roller coaster, Ferris wheel, carousel, tea cups, mini golf and more for children to enjoy.

“We’re so excited to showcase over three million lights and more than a thousand colourful and jaw-dropping light installations at our biggest Christmas display yet,” managing director Leanne Salmon said.

“Adventure Park Geelong’s Christmas Festival of Lights really is the perfect festive activity for the entire family.

“And better yet, we’ll be offering free entry for any child under 90cm tall.”

Guests will be treated to a visit from Santa himself and can have their professional Santa photos taken.

Visitors can peruse the elves workshop where children can write a letter and post it at the North Pole post office, create a souvenir in the Christmas craft bauble decorating station and have their faces painted.

Families can catch the interactive acrobatic show “Jingle & Bells” every night, while adults can sip on Christmas-themed cocktails while grazing on an abundance of food pop-ups and vans.

The Angels are one of more than a thousand light installations at Geelong’s Adventure Park until New Year’s Day.

Adventure Park Geelong’s Christmas Festival of Lights continues to grow in size and popularity, drawing around 85,000 visitors in 2021.

Many nights sold out close to Christmas last year. As a result, Adventure Park recommends booking tickets early to avoid missing out.
