Little Rock platform upgrade complete

September 2, 2021 BY

The new viewing platform at Little Rock is complete and ready for visitors.

THE NEW Three Tier Lookout providing access at Jan Juc is complete, offering spectacular views of the iconic cliffs and surf breaks across to Bells Beach.

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority has replaced the old stairs and lookout with a like-for-like timber structure covering about 240 metres in area.

The new lookout has the same seats and viewing areas and the top levels have improved accessibility ramps and handrails.

Construction took about three months including demolition, with the contractor staging the works to enable public access during the project.

GORCAPA has thanked the Surf Coast community for its co-operation and understanding while the works were underway.

The total replacement cost has been about $300,000, funded almost entirely from revenue raised through Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority-managed caravan parks.
