HIGH-FLYING stunts thrilled Geelong fans for an action-packed return of Nitro Circus to Kardinia Park this week.

Mind-blowing jumps, death-defying flips and awe-inspiring fireworks displays wowed the local crowd for the adrenaline-fuelled show.

Performers used anything with wheels to tackle the extreme ramps and take to the skies, with motorbikes, skateboards, scooters, tricycles, wheelchairs, rocking horses, modified armchairs and makeshift space shuttles all sent tumbling over the jumps.

Fans from across the state flocked to Geelong and were among the first in the world to experience the thrill-seeking event’s new show theme, which it debuted for its Australia-New Zealand tour this year and will soon take around the globe.

There was little space to be found in Kardinia Park stands as a healthy crowd gathered for the show despite a late date change for the arrival of the Foo Fighters on the previously scheduled date of Friday.

Sunshine Coast’s actions sports star Ryan Williams headlined the event, showcasing the aerial talents that have won him seven titles across the Nitro World Games and X Games in BMX and scooter events.

The Nitro crew had been regular tourers of Australia since 2010, but the current tour marks its first in Australia since 2019.
