TORQUAY’S Maple Bakery flew the Canadian flag and amped up the sweet treats to celebrate Canada Day.

The Canadian-inspired bakery celebrated Saturday’s National Day of Canada with dishes of poutine, beavertail donuts, hoodoo butter tarts, clamato juice and plenty of maple syrup.

Staff members said the day was the busiest since the opening of the store in 2021.

Locals will also be able to get their hands on any of the select beavertail donuts, pecan and pumpkin pie tarts and maple bites specials.

Maple Bakery tasty treats certainly provided some palatable goodness for Surf Coast locals.
