Maple celebrates Canada Day
TORQUAY’S Maple Bakery flew the Canadian flag high and with pride this week to celebrate Canada Day.
The Canadian-inspired bakery celebrated the special occasion on Monday this week with treats including dishes of poutine, beavertail donuts, clamato juice, and plenty of maple syrup.

One hundred free cinnamon donuts were also given out from 7am, while one lucky winner received coffee for a year by finding a special golden ticket inside a beavertail.
The community took full advantage of the special celebration, close to emptying the cabinets before lunchtime.
