Market success for P-12 College
THOUSANDS visited Lorne Foreshore to attend the Lorne Market, which raised more than $6,000 for Lorne P-12 College.
Saturday’s event featured more than 100 artisan displays and stalls of handmade goods, secondhand clothing, gifts and local produce.
Live music was provided on foreshore by the school’s band and ensembles.
Lorne P-12 College principal Carly Stafford said the day went very well.
“The weather and vibe could not have been any better, it was such a happy time and a great success.
“Stallholders and visitors both commented on how popular the market continues to become, and what a great asset it is to the Lorne community.
“A huge thanks to those who attended and to our wonderful stallholders and volunteers.”
She said all funds from the market would be going towards building projects at the school.
“We are working on a new playground space and outdoor area, so all our funds will go straight towards this.
“These facilities will not only be available for our students to use, but also for the local community to enjoy.”
The next Lorne Market is already a stallholder sell-out and will take place over the Easter long weekend.
