Massive birthday sales for Sandman

FOR generations, The Sandman Mattress factory has provided the highest quality mattresses to its customers and they’re holding a massive month-long sale to celebrate 70 years in business.

The birthday celebrations will see sales of up to 40 per cent off store-wide with all mattresses and furniture prices reduced throughout the month of May.

With a Geelong mega showroom located at 128 Torquay Road, Grovedale, a store in Bromfield Street Colac and their head office/showroom at 50 St Georges Road, Norlane sales manager Rebecca Trenerry the sale was a chance for them to thank the community for all their support.

“We can’t survive without the support of Geelong, this is a thank you and a chance for us to give back to the community. Hopefully we get people through the door and can provide some great sales,” Ms Trenerry said.

“It feels pretty good to have been in business and to be a local manufacturing company in Geelong for 70 years. That’s a long time for any business to still be going strong.”

Ms Trennery said The Sandman Mattress Factory can help customers with all their bedding needs.

“We manufacture everything from your first bed, cot mattress to your retirement bed, even luxurious latex pillow top mattresses and bases,” Ms Trenerry said.

“From bedroom furniture to commercial bedding we can meet all of our customer’s needs.”

Ms Trennery said the unique thing about Sandman’s mattresses was that they were all double sided.

“The majority of mattresses and pillow tops in the market today are only made one sided. This means that instead of your mattress lasting 10-15 years like they used to, they only last four-six years before developing huge body impressions,” Ms Trenerry said.

“Too many manufactures increase profit by charging more money for less quality and end up selling more mattresses because of the shorter lifespan.”
