THOUSANDS of people headed through the gates of Bellbrae Primary School for its annual Mayfair last weekend.

The much-loved community event aimed to raise vital funds to support the redevelopment of the school’s front playground.

Thousands of people attended the event throughout the day.

It featured a huge range of stalls and activities for people of all ages as well as live entertainment.

Attendees enjoyed venturing to the Bepop Circus, taking rides on the Harley Davidson sidecar bikes, smashing plates and playing laser tag, amongst many other fun festivities.

The event also included an online silent auction which contributed to the success of the day.

Mayfair organiser and school council president Emily Torney said it was a super successful day all round.

“It’s a big community event, which has really come together with the help of the whole school.”

Ms Torney the school is hopeful construction can begin on the playground later this year.

“We are pooling the funds from the 2024 event, plus smaller events and this income, and we should have enough to get going.”
