LIVE music continues its celebrated return to music venues across Victoria, with Midnight Oil the latest band to grace the stage at Mount Duneed Estate.

About 13,000 fans enjoyed the latest in a series of special outdoor concerts being held by the Australian rock legends alongside First Nations collaborators.

Saturday’s concert featured music from Midnight Oil’s #1 mini-album The Makarrata Project plus famous Midnight Oil songs of reconciliation from throughout the band’s career.

Midnight Oil were joined on stage at times by Dan Sultan and Alice Skye – who also performed guest slots of their own – Tasman Keith and Troy Cassar-Daly.

During the concert, frontman Peter Garrett paid tribute to long-time Midnight Oil bassist Bones Hillman, who died in November; and veteran music promoter Michael Gudinski, who died earlier this month.
