Mirambeena Park to come to life for Warralily Market
THOUSANDS of locals are slated to get into the festive spirit this weekend at Mirambeena Park for the November edition of the Warralily Market.
Saturday’s event promises to be the perfect way for locals to embrace the giving season, with more than 35 stallholders and a range of activities and entertainment on offer and ready to explore.
Amongst the stallholders is young local creative Tilly Pearl who will be making her Warralily Market debut.
Tilly’s journey to entrepreneurship began with a diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis 1 in April 2022, which led to a challenging journey of surgeries and chemotherapy.
Throughout her struggles, she has found inspiration and a desire to give back to those who helped her throughout her battle.
Tilly has recently begun crafting beautiful polymer clay earrings and is donating some of the sale proceeds back to charity.
In a short amount of time, she has raised over $3,000 for the Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Tumour Foundation.
Market organiser Janina Lear said Tilly’s story is a testament to the power of community and resilience.
“From a hobby started by buying clay and tools out of her own pocket money, Tilly has found a way to share her journey, while also giving back to chari0es that supported her when she needed them most.
“Tilly just loves attending markets to meet her customers and spread awareness about Neurofibromatosis.
“She loves to check out all of the other stalls and shop too.”
To compliment, Tilly and the other stallholders, organisers have secured an exciting lineup of activities including the Corn Hole Game, Fun Farm 2 U, live music from local soul singer Noah Vernon and face painting.
For the foodies, locals can indulge in the Tiny Kitchen, Bearded Brothers Que, Rockin’ Twis0e Potatoes, Chubby Bao, Kebab Heist, The Lil Dumpling Van, Somsom Candy, and the Oz Whip Ice Cream Truck.
Straight off the back of the November market will be the rescheduled Pet’s Day Out on Sunday, November 19.
The original October 22 date for the pets extravaganza was cancelled due to inclement weather.
