Missing man Ashton found safe and well

A 21-year-old man reported missing earlier this week has been found safe and well.

Ashton, who was last seen in Frankston on Monday afternoon and believed to be in the Torquay area, was located following a search involving police and air support.

Victoria Police issued a call out for public assistance to find Ashton, and the search continued into Monday evening, with a helicopter seen circling above the township in attempts to locate the missing man.

His disappearance was considered out of character, and police had held serious concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.
