COMMERCE Torquay is holding their monthly networking event on Wednesday, June 19.

The “Mix and Mingle” event will be held at Wolf Telstra and is an opportunity for people from local businesses to come together.

Commerce Torquay board member Sarah Minter said it would be a relaxed and informal event.

“It’s a chance for representatives from businesses based around Torquay to get together, socialise in a relaxed environment and maybe make some new business connections.

“Our usual attendees are an incredibly friendly group of people who represent local businesses, from small businesses through to some of the larger organisations.”

The upcoming networking event will allow people from business around Torquay to come together.

Representatives from businesses all over Torquay attend the events, with a mix of members from different professions.

Ms Minter said the networking aspect had always been a key part of bringing people on the surf coast together.

Commerce Torquay hold their networking events at different venues in the area, including previous events at Blackman’s Brewery, Great Ocean Road Gin and Bomboras.

The organisation has been supporting local business for the past 30 years and is encouraging new members to join and be part of their networking events.

“We’d love to welcome more people to come and network with us,” Ms Minter said.

“It doesn’t follow a formal template, it’s very much that opportunity for you to relax, have a drink and meet somebody else who you might find you have some business connections with and want to work with in the future.”

The ‘Mix and Mingle’ event will run from 5.30pm until 7pm.

Tickets are free for members and $120 for non-members.
