THE Torquay Rotary Motor Show has been locked in for 2026 and all eyes are set on making it the biggest and best one yet.
The popular car-lovers masterclass will return on February 8 at the Elephant Walk Park on The Esplanade in Torquay.
More than 300 vehicles, spanning a broad range of makes and models, will be unveiled as part of the exhibition.
Torquay Rotary’s Bruce Turner said there was a good feeling among the committee ahead of a bumper event next year.
“We’ve been able to lock in a date already which is great and we are pretty excited.
“We’ll have the car show on the Sunday and the Great Ocean Road Cruise on the Saturday the 7th.
“We are confident with the things we tried last year with adding more technology to the judging process, and we look forward to building on that again in 2026.
“It tends to be one of the features of the Surf Coast events calendar… a lot of people look forward to getting down to it… people love the array of vehicles, but also the camaraderie.”
The motor show serves as the Rotary Club’s biggest fundraising event for the year, with all proceeds used to support the club’s wide-ranging projects and other community groups.
A total of 24 award categories will be judged on the day, including the return of the Priceline People’s Choice Award.
“This year’s event was very successful overall, and we hope 2026 can be the same,” Mr Turner said.
“Numbers have always been good even on the bad weather days. Most years we actually have to put up the ‘We are full’ sign before 10am.
“With a bit of luck we will make that happen again.”
More details will be released closer to the event.
